The dolls are made of 100% handwoven cotton dyed with certified non-toxic colors and handcrafted in eco-friendly production.
In partnership with Selyn Socioeconomic Development Foundation ME AND MY DOLL helps women irrespective of caste, creed, religion or race to attain their common goal – to improve the life of their families and children.
The dolls are sewn after drawings from students of the Royal International School in Kurunegala in the northwest of Sri Lanka.
Pasan likes adventures, A Doll impresses with her unusual appearance, Imesha reminds a little of Pippi Longstocking, Ikesh always gets his jollies, Hansitas older brother was Superman and Sabana is simply the cutest doll in the world.
Not only the project provides rural women a employment under fair circumstances, also
the revenues of the project run into a specially established foundation that supports projects for kids like the construction of schools.

Imesha, Pasan and their friends travel in their own little sleeping bag designed in matching colors to their new owners.
The project ME AND MY DOLL was awarded with a DesignPlus Award in 2010 and nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany in 2011.
